DII-AA All-East Region Soccer Team Announced

McCallie's Gui Vivaldini Named Region's Most Outstanding Player

Nineteen student-athletes have been selected for the 2021 Division II-AA All-East Region Boys Soccer Team. McCallie’s Gui Vivaldini was chosen as the Region’s Most Outstanding Player. The senior, who led the Blue Tornado in scoring, is headed to the University of North Carolina to continue his education and his soccer career.

 

Baylor won the Region title this spring with a 3-0 mark.

McCallie was second (2-1), followed by Chattanooga Christian (1-2) and Knoxville Catholic (0-3).

 

The All-Region team was selected based on voting from the Region’s four head coaches.

Collegedale police responded to the Integra Hills apartment complex on Thursday after receiving reports of an unconscious person. When they arrived at the residence, the officers discovered that the victim had overdosed on opiates. She wasn’t breathing and no pulse could be found.
