John Robert Fuller, Sr., 84 of Sale Creek, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, at his home.
He was born in Jenkins Jones, WV, on April 10, 1938, the son of the late Tillman Fuller and Francis Rena (Sluss) Fuller. He was also preceded in death by his son, John R. Fuller, Jr.; his sister Connie Goins; and his two brothers, Charles “Muss” Fuller and Gifford Fuller.
John served his country in the USAF in Southeast Asia and retired as a Tech Sgt. After his retirement from the USAF in 1984, he lived in Sale Creek and was the owner and operator of PJ Food Mart in Sale Creek. He was a member of the Sale Creek Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth “Pat” (Dotson) Fuller of Sale Creek; his two sons, Dr. Mike (Shelia) Fuller of Cleveland and Keelan (Shannon) Fuller of Sale Creek; his three daughters, Karen Elsea of Graysville, Tonya (Ken) Stepp of Dayton, and Chastity Fuller of Sale Creek; his nine grandchildren, and his five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services with USAF honors for John will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, May 3, at 7 p.m. with his son, Dr. Mike Fuller, officiating. He will be laid to rest at Welsh Rogers Cemetery in Sale Creek on Wednesday, May 4, at 11 a.m.
