The Chattanooga Christian Lady Chargers soccer team ended their regular season with a big region win over undefeated and the ninth ranked team in the country, Knoville Webb.
The Lady Chargers, playing on their home field, took a two goal lead in the first half. Kyla Kruchinski scored the first goal in the 14th minute from a Lauren Alexander assists.
In the 23rd minute, Hannah Montgomery converted Lauren Alexanders corner kick with a header into the back of the net.
The first half scoring continued but this time from Knox Webb. Abby Weigel scored in the 30th minute for Webb and June Samulski scored in the 35th minute to tie the game.
The battle was on in the second half as both teams fought for the game winner.
In the 65th minute, CCS took the lead when Kayden Mounce was fouled in the box and Lauren Alexander converted the penalty kick.
In the 74th minute, Kayden Mounce gave CCS a two-goal lead when she scored off a Lauren Alexander assist.
Ella Claire Chaffin was in goal for the Chargers and came up with several big saves.
“I’m very proud of how the girls fought and took over the game in the second half," CCS head coach Tyler Robertson said. "The girls executed and emphasized the small details which really contributed to the success we had through the game. We went through some adversity early with injuries and conceding two goals, so credit to the girls. I will continue to say this- the culture they create is something special and I’m happy to be apart of it.”

CCS will host a region quarterfinal game on Saturday.
CCS improves to 12-2-2 on the season.
