Memory Of Anthony Cook To Be Honored At Baylor

  • Wednesday, February 21, 2024

Anthony Cook is being commemorated at Baylor School on Saturday as part of Black History Month.

His sister, Lady Altovise Cook, said, "This day would have been his 56th birthday. Sadly, he parted this earthly life on Oct. 26, 2023."

Baylor and The Bessie Smith Hall have established a display in the school's Athletic Department and the historic exhibition hall of Bessie Smith Cultural Center celebrating his 1985 State Decathlon Championship.

A willow oak tree will be planted in his honor at Baylor on Saturday.
