Cecelia Ratliff Adams, 87, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at NHC Nursing Home in Rossville.
She was a longtime resident of Chattanooga. She attended public school in Keener, Al. Mrs. Adams was the daughter of the late Homer and Mable Croft.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie W. Adams; sisters, Pearlo Croft and Ruby Kate Croft; daughter, Vivian Johnson; and sons, Franklin Delano and James Edward Ratliff.
She is survived by her daughters, Yvonne (Dr. Bill) Findley, Sandra (Michael) Jones; sons, Billy (Hattie ) Ratliff, Ronald (Wilma) Ratliff and Louis Milton (Pat) Ratliff; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, located at 914 Park Ave., with the Rev. Reginald Poindexter officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the McCallie Avenue Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Directors.
