DeLacruz, Rachel Lea Smalley (Cleveland)

Rachel Lea Smalley DeLacruz, 28, of Cleveland, died on Wednesday at the family residence. Rachel was the mother of Mackenzie Grace and Timothy Lea who also died on Wednesday.

Rachel was a 2001 graduate of Bradley Central High School. While in high school, she earned an International Award for completing a regular diploma program with a disability. She was employed with Bradley-Cleveland Services for several years. Rachel was a member of the Waterville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Abemael DeLacruz of Cleveland; her mother, Lea Smalley; her adopted father Tim Smalley, both of Cleveland; her father, Michael Dunstan of East Ridge; her grandmothers, Virginia Ford also of East Ridge, Mary K. Smalley of Cleveland; her step-grandmother, Dorothy Smalley of Chattanooga; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Remembrance of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday from the Waterville Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Brooks officiating. Graveside service and Interment will be held on Wednesday at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Chattanooga. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 Tuesday at the Waterville Baptist Church.

The Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements.
