Charlie Neal Ingle Sr. 83, of Dalton, GA, died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at his residence.
Charlie was born on January 30, 1929 in Dalton, a son of late Fate and Penny Chadwick Ingle; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Lula CriderIngle; sons, Johnny Hicks and Charlie Ingle Jr.; brothers, Jay Ingle, Claude Ingle and Chester Ingle.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the New Life Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, David and Darlene Hicks of Dalton and David Ingle of Flintstone, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Bobby Reeves of Fairmount, GA, Lynn and Ira Hefner of Dalton, Minnie Davis of Chatsworth, GA, Ann Maddron of Cohutta, GA, Flora Rogers and Jeff Smith of Tunnel Hill; brother and sister-in-law, C.L. and Eula Ingle of Dalton; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Charlie Neal Ingle Sr. will be held Sunday September 2, at 3 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church with Reverend Ricky Spence officiating. Interment will follow in the Dawnville United Methodist Church Cemetery. His grandsons Daniel Miller, Keith Holley, Tommy Hicks, Junior Hicks, David Hicks Jr. and Warren Davis will serve as pallbearers.
