The TCCAA/NJCAA Region VII Basketball Tournament beings on Friday, March 2, and Cleveland State Basketball will look to make a deep run. This single-elimination tournament will determine the TCCAA conference champion for both men's and women's basketball.

The champions go on to play in the NJCAA national tournament.

The 5th seeded Lady Cougars will start their tournament run on Sunday, March 4, at 4:00 PM against 5th seeded Dyersburg State. The Lady Cougars played Dyersburg twice this regular season, losing the first game by a score of 70-55. In the second matchup however, the Lady Cougars took the Victory with a 69-68 thrilling win over Dyersburg. They'll look to break the tie against Dyersburg for a chance to move on to the third round of the tourament.

Cleveland State's 6th seeded men's team will face off with tournament host Chattanooga State at 8:00 PM on Saturday, March 3rd. The Cougars went up against Chattanooga State twice during the regular season, losing both games by a grand total of only 11 points. Head Coach Lee Cigliano and his team will look to turn things around against Chattanooga State for a chance to move deeper into the tournament. If Cleveland State were to win they would move on to the third round, since seeds 1-6 received a first round bye.

Monday, March 5, will host the semi-final games for the men and women. The men's championship game is on Tuesday, March 6, at 2:00 PM and the Women's championship will follow at 4:00 PM the same day.

If you would like to attend this tournament tickets are priced at $7.00 for a single day pass or $20.00 for a tournament pass. All games are being held at the Chattanooga State Community College Gymnasium.
