Sherrie Lynn Gravitt, 55, of East Ridge, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 5, 1964 to Freddie Joe & Sylvia Ellia, and was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. She was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church, and had attended East Ridge High School and Draughton College. She was employed as a CNA with the Orange Grove Center for many years, and had a true passion & love for animals. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, that will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Joe Ellis and grandparents, Marshall & Inez Waller and Mert & Lina Ashley.
Survivors include her mother, Sylvia Ellis; children and spouses, Rachel & (Nathan) Graham, Cameron Gravitt and Corey Gravitt (Jess); brother & sister-in-law, Gary & Marylyn Ellis; granddaughter, Anilynn (her pride & joy); niece, Rachel Elizabeth Quinn; and numerous extended family & friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 15 in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens, with Chaplain Bill Bond officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday and prior to leaving for the graveside service on Monday.
