Sandra Faye Gilbert, age 62, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Erlanger Hospital.

She was born Aug. 27, 1957 in Muncie, In. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Draughn; and son, Jesse Gilbert.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ron Gilbert of the residence; mother, Joyce Draughn of Rockmart, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew Gilbert and Tasha Woodard of Dalton, Ga.; brothers, Rodney Draughn of Ringgold, Ga., Randy Draughn of Stone Mountain, Ga.; sisters, Debbie Griffin of Ringgold, Ga., Sharon Draughn; and 13 grandchildren.   

Visitation to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sandra Faye Gilbert will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Georgia Has Big Jump In Coronavirus Cases, Up To 9,156; 348 Have Died

Georgia state health officials said Tuesday that 348 people in the state have died of the coronavirus - up from 294 on Monday. The confirmed cases are now at 9,156, up from 7,558 on Sunday. Tennessee Has 7 More Coronavirus Deaths, Including 3 From Nashville; Hamilton County At 94 Cases With No New Deaths

Tennessee now has 72 coronavirus deaths - up seven since the Monday report. Cases have gone up from 3,802 to 4,138. Officials said 408 people have been hospitalized in the state from coronavirus.
