Barbara Ann Carlton Hoefler, 71, of Dayton Mountain, Tennessee, passed away Friday evening, October 23, 2020, at Rhea Medical Center.

She was born on Nov. 4, 1948, in Dayton, Tn., the daughter of the late Wilburn Andrew Carlton and Willie Grace Hancock. Barbara was also preceded in death by her sister, Sue Carlton White. 

Barbara lived in Dayton Mountain for many years. She was a Battle Creek Central High School graduate and was a supervisor at Comcast in Battle Creek, MI before retiring. Barbara enjoyed casinos, family parties, motorcycle rides, Bingo and spending time with her grandkids and her dog Nick. 

She is survived by her husband, Gary Hoefler of Dayton Mountain; her daughter, Angela (Adam) Chapman; her son, Gary Carlton; brothers, Lonnie “Bit” (Lila) Carlton and Larry “Mac” Carlton, all of Battle Creek, MI; her grandchildren, Alyssha, Brittany, Tiffany, Crystal, Justin and Jeremy; and six great-grandchildren. 

Graveside funeral services for Barbara will be held Sunday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. at Rigsby Cemetery.
