Diane Yvonne Hart Brown, 79, transitioned to be with the Lord on Friday, December 25, 2020. 

 

She was born in Chattanooga on July 23, 1941. She was a member of Faith United Baptist Church. Diane graduated from Howard High School class of 1959. She was a devoted Howard Booster member. She played basketball for Howard.  

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Edwina Hart; sister, Beverly Jones; son, Wenzell Brown.  

 

Diane is survived by her son, Fritz (Yolanda) Brown, Marcus (Shawan) Brown, and Ryan (Yolanda) Brown; brother, Larry Hart; sisters, Fredia (James) Murphy, Miya Hart; grandchildren, Aikera Pipkins, Fritz Brown II, Atorsha Brown, Wenzell Brown, Jr., Zoe Rivers, Marci Brown, Deven Brown, Ryan Brown, Jr., of Atlanta, GA; Melaine Hemphill, Reginald Hemphill; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; a special friend for many years Weldon Brown and Tequila Bonner.  

 

Public viewing will begin at noon on Saturday, Jan. 9, followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service, at Faith United Baptist Church, 1800 Mulberry Street, Chattanooga, TN 37404. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
