Chancellor Pam Fleenor, Chris Clem, Samantha Lunn Are Among 16 Applicants For Vacancy On State Court Of Appeals

Chancellor Pam Fleenor, Chris Clem and Samantha Lunn are among 16 applicants for a vacancy on the state Court of Appeals.

The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will consider the applicants when it meets to select nominees for the Court of Appeals opening in the Eastern Division created by the retirement of Judge Charles D. Susano, Jr., effective April 30.

Davis, Maryville; Pamela A. Fleenor, Chattanooga; Samantha A. Lunn, Chattanooga; William Thomas McFarland, Kingston; Summer H. McMillian, Knoxville; E. Jerome Melson, Knoxville; Edward H. Trent, Knoxville; Joshua R. Walker, Knoxville; Jeffrey M. Ward, Greeneville; and Thomas J. Wright, Greeneville.

Attorney Clem is a former state legislator. He was the attorney for the Election Commission and is now a member of the Election Commission.

Attorney Lunn is a partner with Husch, Blackwell.

The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will interview the applicants in a public hearing, which will be set in the near future. The Council is expected to vote immediately following the interviews and forward three names to Governor Bill Lee for his consideration.
