Carolyn M. McMahen
Carolyn M. McMahen, 82, of Chattanooga, passed away January 11,2021.
She was born in Greensburg, PA but lived in the Chattanooga, TN area for over 41 years.
She was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Burks United Methodist Church.
She attended Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. Carolyn retired in 2000 after working for the Chattanooga Convention Center and continued working until 2015.
She was the daughter of the late Chester and Hazel Brown and the sister of the late Margaret Jean Harris all of Pennsylvania.
Survivors include her loving husband of almost 62 years Melvin E. McMahen; Son, Scott E. McMahen (Jane) Ringgold, GA; Grandchildren, Watson Brunson (Caroline) Chattanooga, TN, Emelia Brunson (Alex) of Ringgold, GA; Great Grandchild, Ryder Alan Brunson and many wonderful friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Dr. Tony Collins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Hamilton Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made to Amedisys Hospice of Chattanooga, TN.
Pallbearers will be Scott McMahen, Watson Brunson, Mike Shuford, Alan Vendur, Murphy Eller and Chris Wolfe.
