Magalene Smith
Magalene Ammons Smith, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, in a local hospital.
She was a 1958 graduate of Howard High School. She was a member of The M.E.T. OFF Main Church.
Magalene was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Gladys Ammons; her siblings, Alfred Ammons, Frank Ammons, Rosa McKibben, Edward Ammons, Gladys Wilkins, and Joe Ammons.
Survivors include her special friend, Patrick Maddox; daughter, Jacqueline Billingsley of Chattanooga; grandchild, Le’Shay Billingsley; sister-in-law, Julia Bruce Ammons of Los Angeles, CA; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Magalene will lie in state on Friday, Dec. 3, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Dec. 4, at noon at The M.E.T. OFF Main Church with Pastor Barron Ammons as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
