Mae Pearl Jackson, age 81, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

She was born on Jan. 23, 1940 to her late parents, Oliver and Ninner Ruth Stalling Jackson. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She was preceded by her parents; three sons, Byron North, Charles Zell North, Jr., and Bernard North; grandsons, Alex North, Kerchun Jackson; and special friend, Charles Zell North, Sr.

Survivors are her loving family, daughters, Bonita North, Roxanna Jackson; stepdaughter, Brenda (James) Clark; special granddaughter, Dennita Mae Pearl McRay; son, Braxton Lamar Jackson; stepson, Diamond North, sisters, Gwendolyn Joyce Montgomery, Carolyn Vinson; brothers, Cecil (Gail) Jackson, William “Peter” (Denise) Jackson; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Following the guidelines of COVID-19, the family is enforcing that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Graveside service and interment will be held on Wednesday, April 14, at 3 p.m. at the Naomi Cemetery in LaFayette, Ga. with Pastor Rheubin Taylor as eulogist.

Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Ga.
