Charles Elsberry, beloved father and grandfather, age 80, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 in the company of his family at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Elsberry; parents, William Henry Elsberry, Sr. and Stella Gladstone; brother and sister-in-law, William and Kathy Elsberry; and a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bud Huiras.

Charles was retired from Shaw Industries and a member of the American Legion Post 112 of Dalton.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Shannon (Rachel) Manis of Chatsworth and Marcus (Melissa Fowler) Elsberry of Dalton; grandchildren, Allison Manis, Audrey Manis, William Sizemore, Brent (Katie) Jones, Austin Jones, Kirsten Hyde, Mackenzie Thrasher, Kyleigh Thrasher, Corbin Fowler and Hannah Fowler; great-grandchildren, Cooper Doan, Lucas Jones, Alanna Jones, Dax Manis and Raelynn Fowler; a special nephew, Richard (Caryl) Huiras; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private celebration of life.
