Pedro Antonio “Pete” Laboy Velez, 59, of Spring City, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early Sunday morning, September, 19, 2021 at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN.

He was born on August 2, 1962, in San German, PR, the son of the late Pedro Juan Laboy and Eloina Velez. 

Pete lived in Spring City, TN for the past 20 years and served his country in the US Army and the National Guard. He was retired and enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with his children and grandchildren and visiting family. Pete’s family was everything to him and forever will be remembered for it. 

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, LaDell (Dyer) Laboy; his children, Michele Elaine (Laboy) Miller and Miguel Antonio Laboy; his grandchildren, Gabriel Miller, Alyssa Miller, Jackson Miller, Serena Miller and Nolan Miller, all of Spring City, TN; his brother Alexander (Ruth) Laboy of Spring City, TN; his sisters, Noami (Jaime Santiago) Laboy of Lares, PR, Carmen Eneida (Orlando Madera) Laboy of Philadelphia, PA and Maria del Carmen (Domingo Laboy) Laboy of Lajas, PR; and many nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. 

A Celebration of Life Service for Pete with military honors will be held on Friday, Oct. 1, at 6 p.m. at Vanderwall Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Burchon E. Walker, Jr. of Sweetwater Community Bible Church officiating.
