William Gary Ratliff
William Gary Ratliff, 85, of Rossville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
He was born on June 2, 1936, in Chattanooga, to the late J. Elbert and Mattie Ratliff. Gary was retired from the Noland Company and went on to deliver flowers for Ensign the Florist. He enjoyed singing in the choir at Covenant Presbyterian Church where he had been a member for almost 20 years. Mr. Ratliff helped in Scouts for 50 years, was a member of the National Honor Society Order of the Arrow in Scouting. He enjoyed hiking, rafting, shooting and just being outdoors in general. He was a graduate of the Allen Bradley School of Electronics in Milwaukee, Wi. Gary was a past Master Mason at Thompkins Lodge #466 F&AM where he had been a member for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte Ratliff; parents, J. Elbert Ratliff and Mattie Ratliff Baugh; son, William Christopher Ratliff and step-father, Frank Baugh.
Survivors include his son, Bryan (Shannon) Ratliff; brother, Robert (Penne) Baugh of Knoxville, sister, Sandra (Joey) Livesay of Memphis, and grandson, Christian, and many nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Rev. Eric Mullinax officiating.
