William “Bud” Derryberry, Jr., 69, of Whitwell, Tennessee was called home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. 

Bud was born on January 1, 1953, to the late William Carroll Derryberry, Sr. and Dorothy Reynolds Derryberry.  He was a member of Whiteside Church of God.  He was a truck driver most of his life for Southern Foundry and ADM in Chattanooga, Tennessee and a member of Whitwell Volunteer Fire Department where he had eight years of service.  Bud enjoyed attending the races with his son, Jeffery and brother, Ronnie.  In his spare time, he liked to hang out with his friend Rabbit and they enjoyed fishing.  He also loved spending time with his family and eating pancakes with Lily (Stinker).

Bud was preceded in death by his father, William Carroll Derryberry, Sr., mother, Dorothy Reynolds Derryberry; wife Patricia Sue Wilson Derryberry and sister Jane (Derryberry) Payne.

He leaves all his memories to his son, Jeffery Derryberry; daughters, Joanna (David) Wallace, Jennifer (Brandon) Jeffery; brother, Ronnie (Demi) Derryberry; sisters, Louise Hampton, Carolyn (Marvin) York; grandchildren, Levi (Erika) Wallace, Hurley (Brittany) Wallace, Lily Kate Jeffery, Wylder Lane Jeffery; great-grandchildren, Paisley, Hazel, Lyla Kate and Jase Wallace, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Nov. 26, from 2-8 p.m. CST (3:00 to 9:00 Eastern Time) and on Sunday, November 27, 2022, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm CST (1:00 to 3:00 pm Eastern Time) at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services are on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 2:00 pm CST (3:00 pm Eastern Time) in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Brent Upchurch officiating.

Burial will be at Hooker Cemetery in Hooker, Georgia immediately following the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Jerry Manasco, Levi Wallace, Hurley Wallace, Chad Smith, Josh Roberts, Matt Davis.
