U.S. Air Force Veteran Was Longtime Employee Of Combustion Engineering

James Edward Jeffery, 84, of Harrison, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, after a brief illness.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Mr. Jeffery was the son of the late J.P. and Flossie Jeffery.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Fore and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Jeffery was a longtime employee of Combustion Engineering and following his retirement he worked in the trucking industry.

He was a member of the Fidelity Lodge # 558 F & AM and the Alhambra Shrine Temple where he was a member of the Road Runners Bus Unit.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years on May 27, 2023, Martha Jo Jeffery.

Left to honor his memory are many cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bryan Daniel and Rev. Larry Gray officiating. There will be masonic rites following the chapel service.

Members of the Road Runner Unit will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Road Runner Unit at the Alhambra Shrine Temple.
