Delores J. Nicholson Williams went home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2023, at the age of 84.

Over the years, she contributed to the lives of many as a sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, nurse, and caregiver. In her free time, Delores enjoyed gardening, watching her stories, and playing candy crush on her tablets.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Marie Gilchrist; mother and father, Janie Walker and Robert Allen; loving husband, Marvin Nicholson; and truly loved grandson, Tory Hardy.

She leaves behind four children, Terilynn Torrence (Larry, loving son-in-law), Telaine Nicholson, Traci Eastman, Jay Nicholson; four sisters and two brothers, Sherrie Gilchrist, Terisita Eversley (Kevin), Deborah Gilchrist, Duchess Walker, Orest Walker, Mike Walker; grandchildren, Staci McDowell, Terrell Torrence, Bria Gardner (David), Darion Nicholson, Christopher Nicholson, Dakota Nicholson (Lindsey), Elijah McDowell (Cassie), Deunte Hardy (Vashti), Marissa Hawkins, Gabrielle Burney, great-grandchildren, Issabella Gardner and Jakari Nicholson; and a host loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Delores will be remembered for being a sassy firecracker, fashionista, and matriarch of her family. Her beautiful smile and laughter brightened the lives of those who knew her. Delores's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

Public viewing will be held from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, followed by a 1 p.m. graveside service at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
