Ray Hyde, 91 of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.

Ray retired in 1993 after a 30-year career as a pharmaceutical sales representative with Dupont Merck Pharmaceutical Company. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing many days a week with doctors and after his retirement playing with his retired friends. Ray enjoyed living on the river, gardening, outdoors, and entertaining his family and friends. He especially enjoyed traveling with his wife Barbara to other countries before her death in 2020. Ray also proudly served his country in the US Navy as an Aviation Ordinance Specialist for four years.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Hyde, whom he loved dearly: parents, Ray and Ruby Hyde; and step-daughter, Susan Gault-Morgan.

Survivors include his step-children: Janet Gault Nelson; Mark Gault, Keely Gault Murphy; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

A private interment will be held in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
