Priscilla Morgan, 80, of Lookout Valley, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024.

She was of the Baptist faith accepting Christ as her Savior during Vacation Bible School at an early age.

Priscilla was born on April 2, 1943, in Chattanooga, to Kenneth Owens and Iris Blackwell. In her early years she lived in the Downtown Chattanooga area and was a cheerleader and graduate of Kirkman High School. There she also met William “Bill” Morgan whom she married on Dec. 26, 1959. They were faithfully married for 48 years until his death in 2008.

Priscilla was well known in the community, as she and Bill attended the various athletic events in which their son Toby participated. This tradition continued when they were blessed with their grandchildren, Shelby and Spencer. If an event was going on with either of these two, you can bet she was there cheering them on.

Priscilla loved traveling to Las Vegas with Bill, going to Panama City Beach with family and friends and cherished the time she was able to see Elvis in concert. However, her favorite activity was spending time at her beloved river home on the Tennessee River, built in 1988. Nana was always the happiest when she had Shelby and Spencer there with her and loved cooking and taking care of all their friends throughout the years.

Priscilla is survived by her son, Walter “Toby” William Morgan, II and his wife, Donna; granddaughter, ShelbyBrianne and her husband, Chan Pesnell along with their son, Morgan Dean and daughter Nellie Elizabeth due in March; grandson, Spencer William and his fiancée, Abbey Anderson.

Proverbs 17:6 - “Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their parents.” God designed the lives of parents and grandparents to be glorified in the way they love their children and in the way they love their grandchildren. As we mourn the passing of our Mom and Nana, we rejoice in knowing she is amply glorified in Heaven as her love for us knew no boundaries.

Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 26, from 4-7 p.m. at Chattanooga Memorial Funeral Home, at 144 Brown’s Ferry Road. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens West, located at 3809 Cummings Road.
