Eva Mae Quinn Lane
Eva Mae Quinn Lane, 80, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
Eva was born in Lafayette, Ga., on May 26, 1943, the daughter of the late Joseph Franklin Quinn and Julia Mae Quinn. Those who knew Eva will remember her for her strong will and fierce personality. She exuded strength until the very end; and now Eva will live in love in our memories and peace with our Heavenly Father. As a 1961 graduate of Kirkman High School, Eva was known as “Lilbit.” She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling to the beach and Disney World. Her children recall spending many weekends camping at Harrison Bay and Chester Frost Park. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Donald Quinn.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Edward Lane, to whom she was married on Nov. 21, 1964; children, Rickie Lane (Deeann), Jeffrey Lane (Natalie), and Julie Sewell (Sam); grandchildren, Rickie Lane (Tabitha), Hannah Sewell, Gabrielle, Olivia, and Isabella Lane, and Addison Lane; great-grandchildren, John Will Golden and Abby Lane; a sister, Darlene Steele; and two brothers, Roger Quinn (Debbie) and Michael Quinn (Judy). Several cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be on Monday, March 11, at 12:30 p.m., Heritage Chapel with Dr. David Kemp officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and Monday from 11:30 a.m. until the service hour at Heritage Funeral Home.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Monty Ownby, Larry Nolan, Billy Womack, Chris Fluhr, Eric McClenedon, and Aaron Wren.
