Ethan James Barton
Ethan James Barton was born in Oceanside, California, on June 1, 2004, the son of Jeanna Tlumak and Jerrod Barton.
He will be remembered most for having a kind and gentle heart and making others happy. His smile was genuine and contagious, and he cared deeply for his family, friends, and loved ones.
Ethan earned his black belt in Taekwondo at the age of nine, and he played basketball with the YMCA for many years. He was an avid Titans fan as well as a sports and car enthusiast. Ethan was a 2023 Franklin High School graduate, having played the trumpet in the school’s nationally-renowned marching band.
Ethan was a beloved son, grandson, friend, cousin, and nephew…but his greatest title, was that of big brother. In addition to his parents, survivors include four siblings, Beckham Broyles, Braylon Barton, Paxton Barton, and Lynnea Barton; maternal grandparents, Theresa and Robert Tlumak; and paternal grandparents, Beverly and James Barton.
Memorial services will be on Friday, May 31, at 10 a.m. at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church, 851 Ooltewah Ringgold Road, Ringgold, Ga. 30736.
Celebration of Life will be on Friday, May 31, from 12-3 p.m. at Council Fire Country Club, 100 Council Fire Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
Attendees are encouraged to wear Tennessee Titans colors and/ or their coolest sneakers in honor of Ethan.
