Aaron Eugene Gunner, 45, who grew up in Hixson, left his earthly body on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Aaron’s love and passion for animals lead him to take in every stray that crossed his path.

Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gunner, his grandparents, Ernest and Villa Burkhart, step grandfather, Alvin McClendon, step great-grandmother, Katherine Blevins and his cousin, Jeremy Owen.

Those left to celebrate his life are his mother, Cheryl Burkhart McClendon, stepdad, Richard McClendon, step grandmother Peggy McClendon, brother, Wes Gunner, stepsister, Shelley McClendon Baggett, niece, Casia Gunner, nephews, TJ, Lucas, and Toby Gunner, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A private memorial service officiated by Bro. Eddie Womack will be held at a later date.
