On March 12, 2025, Ronald Edward Garrison, 81, of Hixson, passed away after a lengthy illness.

Ron was a member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church and the Gatekeepers Sunday School Class. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed spending time with family and playing golf.

Ron was a generous kind person with a great sense of humor. He helped others while he was a member of the Dallas Bay Lion’s Club for several years.

Ron enlisted in the U.S. Army and was on active duty for 13 years. After military service, he worked at TVA for 30 years where he retired. Afterwards, he worked at Pinkerton Security for two years and then at Chattanooga Golf and Country Club for eight years. He also volunteered as a teacher’s aid for his wife and sister-in-law, Karen.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Juanita Garrison and brother, Terrell Garrison.

Survivors include his loving wife, Chris Garrison; son, Scott (Jennifer) Garrison; daughter, Julie (Jason) Everett; granddaughters, Lauren and Stephanie Garrison and Abbie Colburn; grandsons, Owen Johnston, Brayden Colburn, and Jack Garrison; brother, Steve (Pam) Garrison; sister-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Karen Lewallen; sister-in-law, Barbara Garrison; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, from 1-3 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel in Hixson. The funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel with pastor Ken Young officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

For those who wish, contributions may be made to Dallas Bay Baptist Church in memory of Ron Garrison in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
