Bobby Ray Benefield, Jr., 51, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Vanderbilt  Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

 

A resident of Chattanooga since 1979, Bobby was a 1988 graduate of Central High School.

 

He was employed with the East Brainerd Elder’s Ace Hardware for the past eight years and was formerly employed with Food Lion for several years.

 

He attended Yates Springs Full Gospel Church.

 

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Bob Benefield, Sr; and grandparents, Waldo & Bonnie Bolin, and Wonnie & Marie Benefield.

 

He is survived by his sons, Micah and Levi Benefield;  mother of his children, Susan Benefield, all of LaFayette, GA;   mother, Millie Bolin Benefield, Chattanooga;  sister, Christine (Andrew) Morkert, Ooltewah; nieces, Natalie and Callie Morkert;  nephew, Jacob Morkert;  several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 8, at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Travis Ballinger and Harold Stockburger officiating.
