Virginia Ruth Woody
Virginia Ruth Woody, 89, of Ooltewah, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
Ruth was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Woody, Jr.; grandson, Matthew Raborn; six siblings, Mary Strickland, Irene Tesner, Marie Sherrill, Patricia Green, Joe Brumlow and Leonard Brumlow.
Ruth is survived by her children, Carolyn Raborn, Randall Woody and Darrell Woody; granddaughter, Jennifer (Mark) Arp; five great-grandchildren and two brothers, C. L. and Hershel Brumlow.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Ruth’s services will follow at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the North Chapel with Reverend Wayland Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
