Micheal “Wayne” Guthrie

Micheal “Wayne” Guthrie, 58, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024. For the past three years he has lived in Calhoun, Georgia.

Wayne, as everyone knew him as, was a truck driver for Mohawk Industries. He loved living by the road and seeing the country. Wayne enjoyed working on cars and trucks and loved his grandchildren dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sara Guthrie; a brother, Ray Guthrie; and one sister.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law, Micheal “Brad” (Gabby) Guthrie; two grandchildren, Hudson and Brayden Guthrie; a brother, Shawn Guthrie; two nephews, Matt and Scott Guthrie; and several other extended family members.

A celebration of life will be held on June 8, at 1 p.m. at Old Antioch Cemetery.
